Description	:	Funeral services were held Friday, April 1, at Orchard for Mrs. Ira W. Laursen, 51, who died early Wednesday morning following an operation. The Rev. C.R. Anderson conducted the rites and burial was in the Orchard cemetery. Hymns were sung by Miss Lila Fletcher and E. C. Hoag, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Vernon Munger. Pallbearers were Lou Sawyer, Fred Shaar, Edwing Butterfield, William Young, Harry Geers and Charles Menning. She spent her entire life in the Venus community except for a shot time when the family resided in Orchard. She was married to Ira W. Laursen and to this union were born two sons. She attended the Walnut church and was a member of the Walnut ladies aid society. She is precede in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.A. Butterfield, and one brother Ray Butterfield in infancy. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Virgil of O'Neill and Arden of Venus; three grandchildren, Dicky, Sandra and Jeanine Laursen; one sister, Mrs. A.J. Edson of Creighton and one brother, Glen Buttefield of Atkinson.
