"Possibly" the daughter of William Frame and Nancy Crowel???? ----------------------------- Julia Ann was the wife of Francis ("Frank") Hunniker Sr. (nicknamed "Frank"). --- (Could Julia Ann have possibly been named after her grandmother, Julianna (Nutz) Crowel/Crowell?) ------------------------------- Note: PLEASE, do NOT transfer this memorial to other web sites. Thanks, Nancy (Letcher) Heib. ------------------------------- Julia was born "about" 1813 in Ohio (per 1850, 1860, and 1870 census records). ["Possibly" in Preble Co. Ohio?] -------------------------------- Note: William Frame (1786-1853), was married to Nancy Crowel/Crowell, on Sept. 2, 1805, in Franklin County Virginia. Nancy was the daughter of (Johann) DEVAULT (or DEWALT) Crowel/Crowell (1751or1753-1838), and his wife Julianna Nutz, who are buried in the Old Harris Creek Cemetery, in Adams township, Darke County Ohio. William Frame and his wife Nancy Crowel/Crowell, both born in Virginia, moved to Preble County Ohio. They then moved to Michigan in 1835. They then moved to Warren township (North of South Bend), St. Joseph County Indiana in 1838, where they both died. William (and probably his wife Nancy), are both buried in the Portage Prairie Cemetery, in German township, St. Joseph County Indiana (per the "Graves Restoration Project"), near their son Abram Frame, and near a number of children of Jesse Frame Sr. (William's brother?). (William also had a son named Nathaniel Frame, who was born in 1820 (Julia's brother?), who lived in Warren township, St. Joseph Co. IN. He is buried in the City Cemetery, in South Bend, St. Joseph Co. IN). This Nathaniel Frame had a daughter named Julia A. Frame, who was born "about" 1849. ------ Note: Jesse Frame Sr. (1780/1781-1859) (William's older brother?), (born in Virginia), and his wife Nancy Abshire (born 1786 in Virginia, the daughter of Abraham Abshire), were married on Jan. 10, 1803 in Franklin County Virginia. They later moved with most of their 13 children from Jefferson township, Preble County Ohio, to Wayne County, Indiana (about 1821), and then to Portage Prairie (North of South Bend), in Section 22 of Warren township, St. Joseph County Indiana in 1833. Several of their married children came soon after. Jesse Frame Sr. died on Jan. 16, 1859, in St. Joseph County Indiana, of consumption. Jesse Frame Sr. (and possibly his wife Nancy Frame), are buried in the Witter Cemetery, in German township, on the North side of South Bend, St. Joseph County Indiana. At least five of their children (perhaps more), are buried in the Portage Prairie Cemetery, in German township, St. Joseph County Indiana (just "South" of the Michigan- Indiana state line). The children of Jesse Frame Sr. and his wife Nancy included: William J., Abraham, Mary, Cornelius, Neely, Nathaniel, Jesse Jr., Charlotte, Isaac A., Allen, Nancy, and David M. Frame. One son Jesse Frame Jr., moved near Daton, in Bertrand township (South of Buchanan), Berrien County Michigan, and is buried in the Mount Zion Cemetery, South of Buchanan, Berrien County Michigan (just "North" of the Michigan-Indiana state line). Jesse Sr.'s son Nathaniel A. Frame had a son named Allen J. Frame who is buried in this Oak Ridge Cemetery, in Buchanan, Michigan. ------ Could William Frame and Nancy Crowel be Julia's parents??? (Can not find documentation to prove they are her parents...(yet). __________________________________ __________________________________

Julia and Frank Hunniker Sr. lived in South Bend, (Portage Twp.) St. Joseph County Indiana, and then they moved to the village of Buchanan, Berrien County Michigan between 1853 and 1860.
