In Memoriam Mrs. Julia Draper Paasch was born October 23, 1864 and died February 3, 1911, at her home in Iowa City on East Burlington Street aged forty seven years. She was married on September 6, 1885 t H.J. Paasch, who alone survives his deceased wife. For many years the couple made their home in Freemont, Nebraska but of late they have made their home in Iowa City, where Mr. Paasch has been engaged in the nursery business. For the past eight years the deceased has been an invalid. In 1890, she became a member of the Methodist church. She was also an honored member of the O.E.S. wile at Fremont and during her residence and sickness while in Iowa City received many kind attentions from the members of the order in this city. The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock from the home in this city. Dr. Rollo Hurlburt had charge of the services and a special quartet composed of Miss Loraine Lawyer, Louise Anderson, Mrs. Lawyer and Mrs. Mae Coffey. Three numbers were sung, one of which was by request of the deceased before her death. Following the funeral services the remains were taken to Freemont, Nebraska, for burial. The bereaved husband has the sympathy of a large number of friends in Iowa City. Found newspaper clipping, name and date of paper unknown. Death of Mrs. Henry Paasch; Funeral in Fremont Monday A telegram received this morning by Bader Bros. announced the death last night of Mrs. Henry J. Paasch at Iowa City, Ia. Mrs. Paasch resided many years in Fremont prior to her removal to Iowa City three or four years ago. The body is to be brought to Fremont by Mr. Paasch and will arrive Sunday morning about 9 o'clock. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Monday, at the First Methodist church, Rev. Dr. Bithell officiating. Mrs. Paasch had been an invalid for several years and last summer went to California in hope that the change would benefit her. She was a member of the Methodist church and a most estimable woman. Mr. and Mrs. Paasch came to Fremont first from Scribner, where they have relatives residing now, and moved from here to Iowa City. Mr. Paasch is a nurseryman and owns a nursery near Iowa City.
