Mrs. Kluk was born Nov. 6, 1884, in the Ukraine. She came to the United States at the age of 21 years and lived in Jamestown, PA. She was married there to Elias Kluk, Nov. 4, 1905. He preceded her in death in 1942. Mr. and Mrs. Kluk lived in Ohio after their marriage and came to the Sumatra area in April 1912. Mrs. Kluk remained there after her husband's death until last October when she went to Missoula, MT., to live with a son. Survivors include six sons, M.J. Kluk of Missoula, MT., John and Elias Jr. of Sumatra, MT., John and Elias Jr. of Dumatra, MT., Walter, Harvey and Steve of Fortine, MT., five daughters, Mrs. Irene Person of Florence, MT., Miss Anna Kluk of Hollywood, CA., Mrs. Sophia Egan of Kalispell, MT., and Mrs. Vernon Thomas of Hysham, MT. ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' The Missoulian, (MT.) 4/9/1957 Tuesday Page 14 Mrs. Julia Kluk Dies Here Mrs. Julia Kluk, 73, who had been residing with a son, M. J., died Monday morning at a Missoula Hospital. She had lived here since last October. The body will be sent by the staff of the Marsh, Powell & Livingston Mortuary Wednesday to Forsyth for funeral services and burial. Mrs. Kluk was born Nov. 6, 1884, in the Ukraine. She moved to the United States when she was 21, and was married to Elias Kluk in Pennsylvania in 1905. They moved to Sumatra in 1912 and homesteaded a ranch. He died there in 1942. Besides the son here, Mrs. Kluk is survived by four other sons, four daughters, 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The other sons are John and Elias of Sumatra, MT., Walter of Havre, MT., and Steve of Fortine, MT. The daughters are Mrs. Irene Person of Florence, MT., Miss Anna Kluk of Hollywood, CA.; Mrs. Sophia Egan of Kalispell, MT., and Mrs. Veronica Thomas of Hysham, MT. Mrs. Kluk was a Catholic.
