Description	:	March 22, 1933 - Carroll Daily - Miss Julia Wolfe died last night at 12:45 in the home of her nephew, M.L. Collison, following an illness of five years. Three years ago Miss Wolfe spent six months in the hospital and has not been well since that time. Cancer was the cause of death. Miss Wolfe, who was the last of her immediate family, was born in County Kerry, Ireland in 1944, the daughter of John and Bridget Wolfe. Miss Wolfe, who was the last of her immediate family, was born in County Kerry, Ireland in 1944, the daughter of John and Bridget Wolfe. She came to this country with her parents when she was 6 years of age and they settled in LaSalle county, Illinois. In 1875 they came to this state with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Collison and with the exception of one year, which she spent in Kansas, Miss Wolfe has made her home here. Returning from the home of her brother in Kansas, she brought with her a niece, Ann Wolfe (Mrs Leo Burns), whom she raised. Members of the Joseph Collison family have always considered her a second mother. For the last 10 months Miss Wolfe made her home with her nephew and niece Mr & Mrs M.L. Collison. Previous to that she lived for 2 years with Mr & Mrs F.P. Collison. Surviving Miss Wolfe with Mrs. Leo Burns of Breda, are her seven nephews: Fred, Mort, Frank, John, Joseph, and Will Collison of Carroll; Dan Collison of Marshalltown; and a niece, Mrs. Joseph Glass. She was a cousin of Mrs. Frank Staak and the late Thomas Wolfe. She also leaves three nephews in northern Iowa: Ed, John, and Maurice Wolfe, of Algona. Funeral services will be held Friday morning in St. Joseph's church.
