Description	:	Kajsa Andersdotter married Karl Andersson, named Carl A Bister in the United States, on June or July 1, 1867 in Sweden. Kajsa and her children immigrated to the United States in 1886, settling on a farm southwest of Marquette, Nebraska with her husband, Carl, who immigrated in 1884. They resided there until 1908 when they moved to Marquette. Carl and Kajsa had 7 children. Mary (Gustaf Wictor "Vic" Nelson), John (Mary Youngquest), Christina (Charles J. Anderson/William "Bill" Payne), Carl Edwin (Beatrice), Ellen (Chester Baum/Henry Johnson), Gustaf (Florence Estella {Nelson/Bister} Gustafson) and Esther Kathryn (Peter Eric Tunall, Jr.). Kajsa was predeceased by her husband, Carl, on August 17, 1915 and by 2 of her children, Gustaf in 1918 and Ellen in 1920. An obituary stated that an English service was held at Kajsa's home, conducted by Rev. W. S. Henry. This was followed by a service at the Swedish Mission Church (southwest of Marquette), conducted by Rev. Pierson. Kajsa was deprived of her hearing for 50 years, being totally deaf for her last 35 years. Her obituary described her. "She was a meek and quiet soul, living happily in her little home, out of they eyes of the world. She bore patiently her afflictions in life and enjoyed the blessings of each day." In closing, her obituary stated: "She was a member of the Swedish Mission Church, to which faith she remained true and loyal. Outliving her husband and two children and many friends of her youth, she was not only ready to go, but prepared to go. Why should we mourn today, when life and this world were so empty for her. Death to her is the gate of gladness, the entrance into felicity, the beginning of all blessedness, a security from all sorrow - a return to her Creator." The obituaries use the spelling Cajsa. The cemetary records and Swedish church records say Kajsa and so does her youngest grandchild who also says, "Pronounce it like a good Swede!"
