Born in Calvary, he was the son of the late Coleman Amos and Laura Virginia Cullum Keithley and was the husband of the late Margaret Irene Hoover Keithley, whom he had married in 1926. Read More	Aegis Newspaper, Bel Air, Harford County, Maryland - 7 June 2000 Karl K. Keithley Sr. Karl Kenneth Keithley Sr. of Joppa died June 5 at Harford Memorial Hospital. He was 95. Born in Calvary, he was the son of the late Coleman Amos and Laura Virginia Cullum Keithley and was the husband of the late Margaret Irene Hoover Keithley, whom he had married in 1926. Born and raised on a farm in Churchville, he went into business in 1927 with his late brother, Coleman Amos Keithley. They owned and operated Keithley Bros. Inc. He worked every day until the job was complete. He was a Studebaker and Dodge dealer until the early 1940s, along with maintaining the garage business where he did auto and truck repairs, towing, gas and diesel sales and parts sales. He helped many families who could not afford to have their cars fixed, according to family members. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Joppa. Mr. Keithley is survived by two sons, Roland Keithley of Churchville and Karl Kenneth Keithley of Bel Air; a daughter, Mary Lou Keithley of Joppa; six grand-children; seven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a son, Donald Richard Keithley; six broth¬ers, Coleman Amos Keithley, William Keithley, Adam Keithley, Lawrence Keithley, Edmund Keithley and Jessie Keithley and four sisters, Bessie Keithley, Mary Walker, Effie Hoffman and Daisy Hitchcock. Services will be held Friday at 11 am. in Trinity Lutheran Church in Joppa with the Rev. Paul E. Austin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call at McComas Funeral Home in Abingdon Thursday 2 to 4 p.m.
