Description	:	Daughter of Moses Jones and Eliza Kale 4/4/1907 Malcom, IA Montezuma Republican Catherine Florence Jones was born near Brooklyn, Poweshiek County Iowa on the 31st day of March 1861 and died in Ft Collins Colorado August 24 th 1907 aged 40yrs 4 months 24 days. She was united in marriage Jan 13, 18 81 to I N Covault and to them was born 6 children, 3 sons and 3 daughter s. Elise died in infancy and Wilbur died at the age of 14. One daughter, Mrs Charles Dryden lives near here and the other daughter and two sons live in Colorado.... One daughter, Mrs Charles Dryden lives near here and the other daughter and two sons live in Colorado. All were with the mother when the end came. Mrs Covault had not been in good health for some years. Going first to Colorado in 19 03 and after some months stay returned seemingly well, but a few years lat er it was necessary to change climates and the family moved to Ft Collins in the spring of 1906. She seemed to be benefited by the change, was cheerful and spoke hopefully of the future up until the day preceding her death. Only a week ago last Thursday she was able to drive out as usual but suddenly became worse and the end came and she is not. She leaves a husband, four children, an aged father, three sisters and two brothers, with a great number of friends and neighbors who mourn her early departure. IN August 1895 she and her husband were received into the Methodist Church by the pastor Rev J W Lambert. The funeral services were held at t he Methodist church in this city Saturday afternoon August 31, conduct ed by Rev U S Smith and the remains laid to rest in Montezuma Cemetery
