Description	:	Kathryn Elizabeth Roland, 83, the daughter of Jacob Fay and Nellie Grace Marr Swihart, was born Oct. 22, 1916, on a farm near Lovewell. She died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Wichita. She received her education at the Mt. Hope Country School near Lovewell and graduated from high school at Lovewell. She was married to Donald D. Coffman. To this union three children were born, Donald D., Jack and Linda. On June 8, 1949, she married Merle L. Roland. They lived in Superior where she worked at Chard Drug Store, Mariska Photography, Roder's Grocery and owned and operated the Service Cleaners.... He died Feb. 5, 1993, In 1997 she moved to Wichita to be with her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Lloyd Hoshaw. She was a member of the Eagles and American Legion auxiliaries. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merle; a son, Jack Coffman; a sister, Charlotte Davenport; and two brothers, Ira and Noel Swihart. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Hoshaw (Linda), Wichita; a son, Donald Coffman, Seaside, Ore.; six grandsons, six great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Dale Stratman (Bernice), Fairfield, and a brother, Burton Swihart, Huntington, W. V. Services were held Wednesday from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, with Pastor Mark Diehl officiating. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior.
