Mrs. Jacobsen had been in failing health for the past two years. Mrs. Delbert Ford and Mrs. Roswell Jordan sang. "What A Friend" and "Jesus Savior Pilot Me " accompanied by Mrs. Russell Newcomm, pianist. The Rev. H. L. Jensen of Audubon was in charge. Mrs. Jacobsen had been in failing health for the past two years. Mrs. Delbert Ford and Mrs. Roswell Jordan sang. Casketbearers were Bob and Don Jacobsen, Wayne, Ival and Ed Smith and Theodore Bonney. Interment was in, the Coon Rapids cemetery. Kathryn M. Mikkelsen, daughter of Christian and Kathryn Mikkelsen, was born December 22, 1872 in Schleswig, Denmark. At the age of 7 years she came to this country with her parents and settled in Shelby county, later moving to Audubon county. November 29, 1895 she was united in marriage to Chris Jacobsen. They made their home in Shelby and Audubon counties until 1913 when they moved to Guthrie county. In the spring of 1922 they moved to Coon Rapids which has been their home since. Mrs. Jacobsen died at the age of 76 years, 3 months and 24 days. She is survived by her husband and eight children; Jake, Clarence, Harry, Mrs. Noble (Kathryn) Long, Mrs. Valley (Selma) Smith, all of Coon Rapids; Chris of Perry; Mrs. Floyd Moylan (Edna) of Scranton; and Mrs. Keith (Harriett) Orris of Des Moines. She also leaves 33 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Dora Thompsen, and one brother, Ernest Mikkelsen, of Audubon. Her parents, 3 sisters, 2 brothers and 2 grandchildren preceded her in death. Mrs. Jacobsen was baptized and confirmed in the Danish Lutheran church. Out-of-town relatives who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Rasmus Jacobsen, Mrs. Anna Petersen, Mrs. Liza Johansen, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jacobsen, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Jacobsen, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. James Jacobsen and Willie and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Jacobsen of Kimballton; Mr. and Mrs. Hans Jacobsen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Jacobsen and Mr. and Mrs. Levi Jacobsen of Harlan; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rattenborg of Hamlin; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Mikkelsen, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Thompson, Mrs. Dora Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wonsmos and Mr. and Mrs. Ejner Thygesen of Audubon; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ebert of Hancock; Mr. and Mrs. Paul, Cameron and Mr. and Mrs. Karl Shirbroun of Scranton; Mrs. Neta Tucker, Geo. Bonnesen and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Nolan of Bayard.
