Description	:	HOLDREGE -- Kathryn R. Mines, 95, died Friday (Nov. 24, 2006) at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook. She was born Aug. 17, 1911, at DuBois, to Henry and Rosa (Rakosnik) Stokes. She attended DuBois High School, graduating in 1928. She married Henry Boehmer in 1929. They made their home on a farm near DuBois, where she was a homemaker and assisted on the farm. On Dec. 19, 1946, she married Robert August Mines of Funk, where they owned the Mines Construction Company. She also owned and operated Kathryn's Beauty Salon for 27 years in Funk. She was born Aug. 17, 1911, at DuBois, to Henry and Rosa (Rakosnik) Stokes. She attended DuBois High School, graduating in 1928. She married Henry Boehmer in 1929. They made their home on a farm near DuBois, where she was a homemaker and assisted on the farm. On Dec. 19, 1946, she married Robert August Mines of Funk, where they owned the Mines Construction Company. She also owned and operated Kathryn's Beauty Salon for 27 years in Funk. Robert preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1976. Following her retirement she moved to Sunrise View Apartments in Holdrege. She was a member of the Fridhem Lutheran Church, where she was involved with the Church Circle for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; one daughter, Louisa in infancy; son, Henry Boehmer in 2003; a son-in-law, Robert Wolf in 1998 and three sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Rose Ann Wolf of McCook; daughter-in-law, Shirley Boehmer of Axtell; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., at the Fridhem Lutheran Church in Funk, with the Rev. Bill Waterman officiating. Interment will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-9 p.m. at the funeral home in Holdrege, with the family greeting from 7-8:30 p.m. Memorials may be given in her name.
