Description	:	MRS. LEE KAUFFMAN PASSES AWAY Katrine Kauffman, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Forney, was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, September 13, 1848. In 1856 she came with her parents to Jackson County, Iowa. She was married to Levi Kauffman at Maquoketa, Iowa, Nov 10, 1869 and settled in Grundy County in 1871. She lived on the same farm until her death July 17, 1923. Read More	MRS. LEE KAUFFMAN PASSES AWAY Katrine Kauffman, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Forney, was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, September 13, 1848. The youngest son, Wayne, died at the U. S. Naval Training Camp at Detroit, Mich., Oct 3, 1918. One sister and five brothers also survive; Mrs. M. E. Kauffman, R. B. and S. H. Forney, of Livingston, Montana; A. H. Forney, of Portland, Ore., and J. J. Forney of Toledo, Iowa. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Soul assisted by Rev. Curless Friday, July 20 at two o'clock at the Methodist church of which Mrs. Kauffman has been an active member for many years. Burial was at the Benson Cemetery. The relatives who were in attendance at the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Owen Kauffman of Campbell, Mis; Mr. Elias Meyers and family of Nashua, Iowa; Dr. Ira Kauffman and family, State Center, Iowa; Mr. J. J. Forney of Toledo, Iowa, Mrs. and Mrs. Frank Becker and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Forrest, of Waterloo; Dr. Frank Kauffman and family of Lake City, Iowa; Dr. Kauffman and wife of Union Iowa; Mr. I J. Yetley and daughter of Gladbrook, Iowa.
