Description	:	Keith Edmund Jennings, 68 years old life-long resident of Wadena died November 29, 1983, at his home in Wadena. He was the older son of Sidney and Mary (Whittenbaugh) Jennings. He was born at rural Wadena, August 3, 1915, and was baptized in the Wadena United Brethern Church. He attended school in Wadena graduating in 1933. He was the older son of Sidney and Mary (Whittenbaugh) Jennings. He was born at rural Wadena, August 3, 1915, and was baptized in the Wadena United Brethern Church. He attended school in Wadena graduating in 1933. June 12, 1940, he married Florence Thyer, Volga, in Elgin,IA. They were parents of five children. He spent his entire life in the Wadena area with the exception of two years at Arlington. Keith farmed, worked as a mechanic, operated Jennings Hardware and later was shop foreman for the Fayette County Highway Department until his retirement. He was always interested in community affairs. He served on the Wadena Community Club Board, Cut Scout committee and was active in Civil Defense. He was recently honored for 40 years of service to the local fire deepartment, including several years as chief; also Creamery board. Keith retired in 1977. He enjoyed fishing, flying and building a variety of different things. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Deon Roys, West Union; four sons; Dean, Puyallup, WA.;Paul, McCausland,; Neal, Hudson, WI.; and Gary, Venice, Florida; one brother, Russell, Hawkeye,IA., and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held Friday, December 2, 1983 at Wadena Presbyterian chruch. Burial was in Wadena Cemetery.
