He was married Jan. 17, 1948, in Enon, to Norma Jean Shikles, who survives at the home. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of 513 Operating Engineers, St. Louis, for 50 years. He was born June 17, 1927, near Russellville, a son of Harry L. and Nellie Amos Proctor. He was married Jan. 17, 1948, in Enon, to Norma Jean Shikles, who survives at the home. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of 513 Operating Engineers, St. Louis, for 50 years. He was a foreman with Sterling Construction Co. for 27 years and he worked at Jefferson Asphalt Company for 12 years. He also raised cattle and farmed. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He had been Sunday school director and taught Sunday school. He was president of the Enloe Cemetery Board, serving as sexton, and was on the Cole County R-1 School Board in Russellville for 18 years. Other survivors include: two sons, Kenneth Proctor, Russellville, and Daniel Proctor, Jefferson City; four daughters, Linda Acock, Sharon Brizendine, and Neva Bryant, all of Russellville, and Nancy Street, Liberty; three brothers, Elroy Proctor and Emmett Proctor, both of Russellville; and Melvin Proctor, Lee's Summit; three sisters, Imogene Baysinger, Olean, and Neva Smith and Laverne Miles, both of Russellville; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Enon Baptist Church. The Rev. Randy Trumbo and the Rev. Alan Earls will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Russellville. Memorials are suggested to Missouri River Hospice or Enon Baptist Church.
