Description	:	HICKSVILLE - Kenneth 0. Roan, 63, a past president of the Hicksville Chamber of Commerce, died Friday morning at his 303 S. Main St. home. He was a lifelong resident of Hicksville. Roan was born Aug. 7, 1911, in Defiance County, the son of George and Ora Evelyn (Wheaton) Roan. He owned and operated the Superior Dry Cleaners for 25 years and a coin-operated laundry for I0 years. Read More	HICKSVILLE - Kenneth 0. Roan, 63, a past president of the Hicksville Chamber of Commerce, died Friday morning at his 303 S. Main St. home. He was a lifelong resident of Hicksville. Roan was born Aug. 7, 1911, in Defiance County, the son of George and Ora Evelyn (Wheaton) Roan. He owned and operated the Superior Dry Cleaners for 25 years and a coin-operated laundry for I0 years. He was married to the former Lucille Moore, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Eddie, Hicksville, and two brothers— Charles E. of Richmond, Va., and Lawrence of Toledo. Six brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of the Hicksville Masonic Lodge F&AM 478, the Hicksville chapter of the Royal Arch Mason 188, the Northwest Shrine Club and Mystics, the Bryan Commandery Scottish Rite of Toledo and the Zenobia Shrine of Toledo. Roan was past master of F&AM 478 of Hicksville. Other memberships included the Hicksville Development Corp., Hicksville Eagles and Auburn, Ind., Moose Lodge, and the Defiance County chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was also an honorary member of the Hicksville Fire Department. Friends may call at the Brown Funeral Home after 7 p.m. this evening. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Calvin Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville. Masonic services will be held at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Sunday. Memorials to the Shrine Crippled Children’s hospitals are preferred.---Jan. 4, 1975 Defiance Crescent News
