Born and raised in Wenona, he was a son of the late Walter H. and Norma Windsor DeVaughn. Read More	OBITUARY: Kenneth Walter DeVaughn (w/ photo) - Salisbury - Kenneth Walter DeVaughn, 68, of Salisbury died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born and raised in Wenona, he was a son of the late Walter H. and Norma Windsor DeVaughn. After graduating from Deal Island School in 1958, he proudly served four years of active duty in the U.S. Navy. He had worked as a purchasing agent at Bethlehem Steel. Kenneth had also formerly worked at Campbells Soup and Shore Distributors. He was a member of Union United Methodist Church in Salisbury, where he served as head usher. He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Eva LaRue DeVaughn; his sister, Kathy Stephenson and her husband, Bill, of Sharptown; his brother, James DeVaughn and his wife, Suzie, of Wenona; his nieces and nephews, Robert Pulliam, Scott Pulliam, Jennifer Lewis, Billy Bates, Suzanne Taylor, Randy Bennett, Zachery DeVaughn, Joshua DeVaughn and Caleb DeVaughn; an uncle, Jack Windsor; and two aunts, Carolyn Barnes and Della DeVaughn. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Townsend and Karen Bates; and a niece, Michele Spurrier. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Monday an hour prior to the service. The Revs. Jamie DeVaughn, Romie Payne and Robert Gray will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul[']s United Methodist Cemetery in Wenona.
