Born April 17, 1945 to Wayne Mervin & Mary Adeline (Triplett) Peitzman in Des Moines, he grew up on the family farm in Dallas County, Iowa graduating from Dallas Center High School in 1963. Read More	Kent Douglas Peitzman, 75, Des Moines, Iowa died Monday, July 6, 2020, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, with his family by his side. Born April 17, 1945 to Wayne Mervin & Mary Adeline (Triplett) Peitzman in Des Moines, he grew up on the family farm in Dallas County, Iowa graduating from Dallas Center High School in 1963. Kent joined the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967 during the War in S.E. Asia. He spent the majority of his working life as a machine operator for AMF Manufacturing. He loved to read, flower garden, classic cars, and spoiling his grandchildren, promptly returning them to their parents. He was a member of Unity Lutheran Church in Des Moines. Survivors include wife, Marlys Jean (Havard) Peitzman, son, Jerry (Anne) Peitzman, West Des Moines, Iowa, daughter, Christine (James) Brauer, Justin, Texas, grandchildren, Amber & Alexandria Brauer, Andrew & Henry Peitzman, brothers, Elwin & Gary Peitzman, both of Grimes, Iowa, sisters, Ilene (Ron) Bartos, Urbandale, Iowa, Lorene (Rudy) Harris, Ankeny, Iowa, Valerie (Greg) Brower, Earlham, Iowa, and Julie (Jonnie) Robb, Des Moines, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Andrew Peitzman. A memorial visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, July 15, 2020, Grandview Park Chapel, 3211 Hubbell Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50317, with the family greeting friends at this time. Private family burial of Kent’s cremains will be at a later date at Sunny Hill Cemetery, Grimes, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Unit at Mercy Hospital, 1111 Sixth Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50314. Arrangements by Iles Grandview Park Chapel.
