Description	:	Wayne Mervin Peitzman, 85, of Dallas Center, died Friday, December 12, 2003 at his home at Spurgeon Manor. Wayne Peitzman was born at the family farm south of Grimes on October 13, 1918, the son of John and Ida Grace (Robertson) Peitzman. He attended Grimes Independent School through the seventh grade. Read More	Wayne Mervin Peitzman, 85, of Dallas Center, died Friday, December 12, 2003 at his home at Spurgeon Manor. Wayne Peitzman was born at the family farm south of Grimes on October 13, 1918, the son of John and Ida Grace (Robertson) Peitzman. He attended Grimes Independent School through the seventh grade. He moved to one of the farmsteads owned by his parents and lived there until moving to a nursing home. On June 10, 1942, he married mary Adeline Triplett at Woodbine. He farmed and baled hay, then went to work for Western Tool & Dye Co. in 1956. He enjoyed being outdoors, farming, and later gardening and bird watching. He was preceded in death by a son, Andy and his brother, Lynn Peitzman. He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons, Gary and Elwin of Grimes and Kent of Des Moines; four daughters, Loren Harris of Ankeny, Ilene Bartos of Urbandale, Julie Robb of Des Moines and Valarie Bowers of Earlham; three sisters, Phyllis Wise and Nadine Britson, both of Dallas Center and Neva Bartelt of Grimes; 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
