ELLIOTT DIED. -At Peru, Indiana, on Thursday, May 5, 1875, of palsey, Col. KILLIAN AMBROSE, aged 66 years, 5 months and 9 days. Col. Ambrose was born in Westmorland county, Pennsylvania, where he resided for many years, and where he held several positions of honor and trust. ELLIOTT DIED. -At Peru, Indiana, on Thursday, May 5, 1875, of palsey, Col. KILLIAN AMBROSE, aged 66 years, 5 months and 9 days. Col. Ambrose was born in Westmorland county, Pennsylvania, where he resided for many years, and where he held several positions of honor and trust. At one time he received a commission from the government of that State as Colonel of a regiment of State Militia, which position he held for fifteen years. In 1842 he was elected to the State legislature. We have known him personally for fifteen vears and found him to be urbane and kind under all circumstances. His remains were brought to this place and interred by the side of his wife, in the Odd Fellows' cemetery. He was the father of Mrs. J. B. ELLIOTT, Mrs. J. S. TAYLOR and Mrs. GEO. WHITESIDE, of this place. The funeral services were conducted at the Presbvterian church by Rev. F. M. ELLIOTT.
