The remains... Read More	FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN MINNESOTA Lampton L. Morehead Passes Away at Morris, Minnesota—Buried At Adaville Merrill, la., July 9. (Special): Lampton L. Morehead died at his home in Morris, Minn., July 2. 'Lamp" Morehead, 'as he was known by his friends and relatives of the Adaville vicinity, was an early settler in Plymouth county. About June 30 Mr. Morehead was not feeling very well and on Monday morning he went to work as usual and worked until about 9:30 o'clock that evening and came home. He passed away at, 11:55 p. m. The remains were brought to Merrill and taken to the Bud Morehead residence. He leaves to mourn his early departure, his widow, two sons, one daughter, three sisters and one brother. Funeral services were held in the Adaville church at 2:30 p. m. Friday, Rev. Flemming officiating. Deceased was 49 years, seven months and 19 days old at the time of his death. He was laid to rest in the Adaville cemetery. Barnett's funeral home had charge of the funeral. Le Mars Globe-Post Monday, July 09, 1928 Lemars, Iowa OBITUARY L. L. Morehead, a former well known resident of Plymouth county, Iowa, in the Adaville vicinity, died at his home in Morris, Minn., at midnight on July 2, 1928, of heart trouble, aged 51 years, 6 months and 20 days. Lampton Louraide Morehead was born in Jo Davis county, Illinois, November 13, 1878. His father, who was a Civil War veteran, died when he was four years old. His mother then moved with her family to Iowa. When a boy he lived with a married sister, Mrs. Orvis Gaston, at Adaville, Iowa, and assisted Mr. Gaston to his store. On December 27, 1899, he took for his bride Mary Tabitha Stinton, of Akron, owner of a general merchandise store at Adaville. Later he resided in Le Mars, Iowa, where he was in the real estate business. He spent the years from 1912-1927 farming south and east of "Alberta, Minn. In January, 1927 he and his family moved to Morris, Minn. where he has been employed as manager of the National Tea Store. Besides his wife. Mr. Morehead leaves to mourn his death one daughter, Veneta; two sons, Clyde and Lyle; three sisters, Mrs. Everett Stinton, of Lucas, S. D., Mrs. Anna Greene and Mrs. Edward Sinton, of Akron, Iowa, and one brother, Herbert Morehead, of Adaville, Iowa. Mr. Morehead was a devoted husband and father, a loyal friend and neighbor, and a host of friends in Plymouth county extend to the bereaved family their sincere sympathy and condolences. The remains were brought to the old home at Adaville for burial. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Fleming at the Adaville U. B. church Friday afternoon. Al large number of relatives and friends from Akron and vicinity, as well as from Sioux City and Le mars were in attendance. Interment was in the Adaville cemetery.
