Mrs. Biddenstadt had been a resideent of Keokuk for 38 years, coming here from west Point, Iowa. She was in failing health for the past three years. She was born December 19, 1898, in Danville, Iowa, and was the daughter of Henry and Ida Roseberry Rhum. She was married October 24, 1917 in Ft. Madison to Clifford K. Biddenstadt. A member of St. Paul Evangelical and Reformed church she took part in the church's organizations; the Loyal Daughters Sunday school class, the Women's guild, the S.P.S.G. club and the church choir. She was a member of Elmira chapter 40 of the order of Eastern star, the Pythian Sisters, the Royal Neighbors of America, the Women's auxiliary of War Dads, and she was a charter member of the Fidelity circle of King's Daughters. She is survived by her husband, by two daughters, Mrs. William Briscoe and Mrs. James J. Goetz both of Keokuk; by one son Clifford K. Biddenstadt; Davenport; four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Robertson, Mrs. Thomas L. Touhey, Mrs. Lester Biddenstadt all of Keokuk, and Mrs Ida Voss of Chicago. Also surviving her are six grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
