Description	:	Stratford Courier August 8, 1918 Obituary Towlerton Mrs. Laura Alice Towlerton was born at Stratford, Iowa, August 7, 1889, and died at Cedar Rapids, July 29, 1918, aged 28 years, 11 months and 22 days. She was married to John Albert Towlerton November 25, 1908. This union was blessed with three children, two of whom he preceded her to the spirit world. One son, Jesse LeRoy, eight years of age is living. After her marriage to Mr. Towlerton she lived in Montana about eight years. She was married to John Albert Towlerton November 25, 1908. This union was blessed with three children, two of whom he preceded her to the spirit world. One son, Jesse LeRoy, eight years of age is living. After her marriage to Mr. Towlerton she lived in Montana about eight years. There remain to mourn her early departure, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Hook, her sorrowing husband, one son, two sisters, Mrs. George Sellers and Mrs. Isabell Geesey of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and one brother, LeRoy Albert Hook, who is in the U.S. army. Mrs. Towlerton gave her heart to God in her early years and united with the Christian church. She had a clear evidence of her acceptance with Christ and died happy in the hope of eternal life. The funeral services were held at Stratford last Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence of Mrs. David Hook, the services being conducted by Rev. J.H. Eslick. The remains were laid to rest in the Oakwood cemetery. Card of Thanks. We wish to herewith extend our heartfelt thanks to those who so kindly assisted us during the last sad rites of our beloved wife and mother. Also for the beautiful floral offerings. A.J.
