She was born January 7, 1921 in Napoleon Township to the late Ferdinand and Mary (Otte) Wachtman. Laura married Lawrence H. Bahler on April 9, 1944 and he preceded her in death on October 14, 2001. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon, where she was active with the Mission Society. She was a member of the Napoleon American Legion Post #300 Auxiliary and Napoleon V.F.W. Post 8218 Auxiliary, she was also a Gray Lady at the Henry County Hospital. She is... Read More	Laura E. Bahler, age 88, of Napoleon, Ohio passed away Monday afternoon at the Napoleon Lutheran Home. She was born January 7, 1921 in Napoleon Township to the late Ferdinand and Mary (Otte) Wachtman. Laura married Lawrence H. Bahler on April 9, 1944 and he preceded her in death on October 14, 2001. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon, where she was active with the Mission Society. She was a member of the Napoleon American Legion Post #300 Auxiliary and Napoleon V.F.W. Post 8218 Auxiliary, she was also a Gray Lady at the Henry County Hospital. She is survived by son, Ronald (Kathy) Bahler of Napoleon; daughter, Judy (Richard) White of Roselle, IL; brother, Donald (Carolyn) Wachtman of Pickerington, OH; sisters, Marie Panning, Hilda (Jack) Green and Martha Young all of Napoleon; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchild. Laura was proceeded in death by a son, Larry Bahler, brother, Bill Wachtman and a grandson, Todd Bahler. Services will be held at 11:00A.M. on Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon, Ohio with the Rev. Peter Marcis and Rev. Charles Kramer, officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Napoleon Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-8 PM in the Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home and on Friday for one hour prior to services at the church. The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
