She was nearing her 86th birthday. Born in Crisfield, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Smith Ward and Julia Pruitt Ward, and the widow of the late William E. Stevenson. Read More	FORMER RESIDENT DIED IN BALTIMORE Mrs. Laura Emma Stevenson, a former resident of Crisfield, died at the home of her daughter, Miss Mildred Stevenson, in Baltimore, Monday morning, after a brief illness. She was nearing her 86th birthday. Born in Crisfield, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Smith Ward and Julia Pruitt Ward, and the widow of the late William E. Stevenson. Mrs. Stevenson had been living in Baltimore since 1929, although the family maintained a residence here for years after that date. Prior to 1929, both Mr. and Mrs. Stevenson were among the best known citizens of the community, and held the esteem and high regard of everyone. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church in Crisfield, where she took an active part in church work while living here, and attended services at times when visiting here after moving to Baltimore. A lady of talent and fine personality, she had a wide circle of friends in the community and county. She rested at the Bradshaw Funeral Parlors until Wednesday afternoon when funeral services were held in Mt. Pleasant Church at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. A. T. McFarland, and Dr. J. Yancey Fincher, pastor of Marion Baptist Church. Interment was in the family lot in the Crisfield cemetery. Bearers were Creston Ward, Gordon Ward, Grover Ward, Grover Somers, William Ward and Len Nelson. Mrs. Stevenson is survived by five children: Miss Mildred Stevenson, William Stevenson, Mrs. Edward Lewin and Mrs. Lawrence Bates, all of Baltimore, and Miss Mae Stevenson of Cambridge, Md., one brother, William Ward, and one sister, Mrs. J.
