Read More	WILLIAM STEVENSON DIED IN BALTIMORE Was In Seafood Commission Business Many Years Ago Funeral Will Be Held This Friday Afternoon William Edward Stevenson, son of the late Prettyman Lawrence Stevenson and Sarah E. Sterling Stevenson, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 4th, 1944, at 9 a.m., in his 85th year, at the home of his daughter, Mildred N. Stevenson, 527 Harwood Avenue, Baltimore. In his earlier life he was engaged in the seafood commission business and farming, and at one time he owned and operated sail freight vessels. Early in life he was a member of Mariners Methodist Church, where he was very active, being the superintendent of the Sunday School. Later, he changed his membership to Mt. Pleasant Methodist church, of which he was still a member at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Laura Emma Ward Stevenson, and five children, Miss Mildred N. Stevenson and Miss Emma Mae Stevenson, of Baltimore, Mrs. Edward K. Lewin, of Woodlawn, Md., and Mrs. Lawrence M. Bates, of Sudbrook Park, Pikesville, Md., and William E. Stevenson, Jr., of Wilmington, Del. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Edwin William Lewin and Mary Kathleen Bates. The deceased is also survived by two brothers, John W. Cox, of Crisfield, and George R. Stevenson, of Baltimore, and three sisters, Mrs. Hiram L. Sterling, of Crisfield, Mrs. Isaac Byrd, of Salisbury arid Mrs. William J. Adams of Crisfield. Funeral services will be held today, Friday, Jan. 7th, at 3:00 p. m., at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church, conducted by the pastor, Dr. Charles M. Elderdice. Interment will be in Crisfield cemetery.
