Harvey Grubb - Evelyn Harvey Cockerill Obituary The News (Frederick, MD) - August 1, 1991 Mrs. Laura Irene Chick Harvey, 89, formerly of Keymar, died Wednesday, July 31, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Raymond K. Harvey who predeceased her in December 1980 and they were married for 58 years. Born July 21, 1902, on Chick Road in Tuscarora on Chick Road, she was a daughter of the late William Michael and Rosie Emma Poole Chick. She had lived in the Odd Fellows Home in Frederick for nine years following her husband's death. As the result of an Illness, she moved to the Meridian Nursing Center, where she was a resident for the past two years. Mrs. Harvey had attended Forest Grove United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday school there in her younger years. She had many fond memories of that era of her life. Surviving Mrs. Harvey are four children, Thelma Harvey Grubb and her husband Lloyd, of Beallsville, Evelyn Harvey Cockerill and her husband Buddy of Herndon, Va., John W. Harvey and his wife Anne, of Taneytown, and Raymond M. Harvey of New Carrollton; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, Aug. 2 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home.The Rev. Whit Hutchinson, interim pastor of Poolesville United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Monocacy Cemetery in Beallsville. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Forest Grove United Methodist Church.
