Description	:	LaVerle Korth, 80, longtime Brule resident, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012, in the Ogallala Community Hospital. LaVerle was born April 8, 1932 in McLean, NE., the son of William and Edna (Koehler) Korth. LaVerle attended rural schools and graduated from McLean High School in 1949. He was employed as a truck driver until 1953 when he was drafted into the Army. He was stationed in Philadelphia, PA. After being discharged in 1955 LaVerle returned to McLean where he began farming. Read More	LaVerle Korth, 80, longtime Brule resident, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012, in the Ogallala Community Hospital. LaVerle was born April 8, 1932 in McLean, NE., the son of William and Edna (Koehler) Korth. LaVerle attended rural schools and graduated from McLean High School in 1949. He was employed as a truck driver until 1953 when he was drafted into the Army. He was stationed in Philadelphia, PA. After being discharged in 1955 LaVerle returned to McLean where he began farming. On August 5, 1953 LaVerle was united in marriage to Nadene Manske in Osmond, Nebraska. The couple resided in Clifton Heights, PA. In 1976 they moved to Brule and LaVerle was an agent for AAL Insurance. In 1980 LaVerle began employment with Willard Rhoades and later for McGinley-Schilz Farms. Other employments included Golden Aluminum Recycling in Fort Lupton, CO., retiring in 1997. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Brule and belonged to the Brule Lions Club. LaVerle enjoyed reading and hunting. Preceding him in death were his parents and son Kent Korth in 1993. Survivors include his wife Nadene Korth of Brule; four sons: Kelton (Joyce) Korth of Fort Lupton, CO, Kyle (Keeley) Korth of Granby, CO; Kirk (Jacque) Korth of Eaton, CO; and Keith Korth of Henderson, CO. A daughter-in-law Lori Swedeen of Alliance, NE. One brother William (Bonny) Korth of Osmond, NE; and one sister LeVila (Wendell) Smith of Muscoda, WI. Eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral service will be Saturday, September 15, at 10 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church of Brule. The Rev. Jon Dickmander will officiate. Interment is in the Brule Cemetery. Draucker Funeral Home of Ogallala is in charge of arrangements.
