Description	:	Lavern was the second son born to William and Caroline (Eggerss) Preuss. He was born with downs syndrome. Respiratory illness is a common problem with those who are DS. In the winter of 1920, Lavern succumbed to death from bronco pneumonia. At that time he had older brother, Alvin and younger brother Gerald.
