Description	:	Laverna Josephine Caslavka, 87, of Traer, died Wednesday, March 10, at North Memorial Hospital, Robbinsdale, Minn., of natural causes. She was born Aug. 8, 1922, near Watkins, daughter of Theodore and Rosetta Arp Schmidt. She married Vincent G. Caslavka on June 27, 1944, at St. Patrick's Church, Watkins. He died Feb. 22, 2001. After attending Catholic school in Norway, Iowa, she went to work at Collins Radio, Cedar Rapids. She and her husband farmed northeast of Clutier, retiring in 1980. Survived by: two daughters, Jennifer (John) Stoltenberg of Wayzata, Minn., and Joleen (Jeffrey) Hall of Excelsior, Minn.; two sons, Dennis of Excelsior and David of Pittsburg, Calif.; five grandchildren, Amy (Tim) Lobner, Erik Stoltenberg, Mark Stoltenberg, Ryan Caslavka and Jeffrey Hall II; and five sisters, Elayne Boddicker of Newhall, Doris (Everett) Kintzel of Blairstown, Geraldine (Ronald) Holladay of Cedar Rapids, Jeanette Feddersen of Marion and Patricia (Bob) Gambaiani of Waverly. Preceded in death by: her parents; and a brother, Vernon. Burial in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Clutier. Public visitation with a rosary and Scripture service.
