Description	:	Lawrence Arno Hoger was born the 15th of July 1928 to Arno George and Margie Louise (Wolf) Hoger. Lawrence was one of four (4) children. He had two brothers and one sister. Lawrence attended a rural school three quarters of a mile south of the home farm or across the road from his Uncle Oscar Hoger home place. Lawrence attended New Salem High School from where he graduated in 1947. Lawrence married Dorothy Marion Hoesel on the 20th of October 1952 in New Salem, North Dakota. Lawrence was one of four (4) children. He had two brothers and one sister. Lawrence attended a rural school three quarters of a mile south of the home farm or across the road from his Uncle Oscar Hoger home place. Lawrence attended New Salem High School from where he graduated in 1947. Lawrence married Dorothy Marion Hoesel on the 20th of October 1952 in New Salem, North Dakota. Lawrence and Dorothy went to the same rural school as well as high school. Dorothy was born the 8th of August 1931 to Arthur Walter and Margaret Kathern (Krammer) Hoesel. Lawrence and Dorothy had four children: Pamela Jean was born the 9th of August 1953 died in infancy the 10th of August 1953, Lorren Allen was born the 19th of August 1954, Larry Duane was born the 29th of April 1956, Brenda Kay was born the 18th of October 1957. Lawrence farmed the family farm and then put up a milking parlor and started to sell Grade A milk. After 17 years of farming they moved to New Salem where Lawrence worked for Farmers Union Oil as the heating and refrigeration man. Services for Lawrence Arno Hoger were held at 2:00PM Saturday, the 13th of October 1985 at the Zion Lutheran Church of New Salem, North Dakota with the Reverend Irvin H. Bruenjes officiating. Lawrence was laid to rest in the Graceland Cemetery, New Salem. Lawrence pasted away the 10th of October 1985 at the Mandan Hospital, Mandan, North Dakota from a sudden heart attack while at work. They were blessed with four grandchildren. Dorothy retired from her job last fall after twenty-six (26) years. She still lives in New Salem.
