Description	:	Margie Louise Wolf was born the 18th of October 1904 three miles northwest of Sweet Briar, Morton, North Dakota to Ernest Heinrich and Marie Linda (Metzer) Wolf, who had settled on the homestead in 1892. Margie had four sisters and four brothers. Margie married Arno George Hoger on June 29, 1925. They started milking with seven milking cows (this began the milking business) and received two hogs, a heifer calf and some chickens for wedding gifts. Read More	Margie Louise Wolf was born the 18th of October 1904 three miles northwest of Sweet Briar, Morton, North Dakota to Ernest Heinrich and Marie Linda (Metzer) Wolf, who had settled on the homestead in 1892. Margie had four sisters and four brothers. Margie married Arno George Hoger on June 29, 1925. They started milking with seven milking cows (this began the milking business) and received two hogs, a heifer calf and some chickens for wedding gifts. Arno and Margie have four children: William Edward Henry was born the 24th of September 1925, Ella Marion was born the 13th of March 1926, Lawrence Arno was born the 15th of July 1928, Kenneth George was born the 19th of September 1936. After they were married they lived in a two room house for 18 years. Every year they planted a garden to raise their own vegetables and stored many vegetables in the basement for winter use. They made their own butter and cured their meat. This along with milk, eggs and meat from hogs which they butchered, provided food for the family. Arno and Margie lived on the farm for twenty-seven (27) years and moved to New Salem, North Dakota in 1952. They stayed first with Margie's mother and sister who were in poor health. They later bought a house where they now live in. In town Arno work as a carpenter for many years. Margie passed away January 25, 1999.
