Description	:	Arno George Hoger was born in Chemnitz, Saxony, Germany on the 28th of November 1901 to Karl Oskar Edmund and Anna Teresia (Hoesel) Hoger. In March of 1902, when he was 10 weeks old, Arno came to America when his parents and their other children - Edwin, Martha and Carl. Arno has very sick during the trip and his parents feared he might not make it. The family took up a homestead about seven (7) miles north of Judson, North Dakota. Read More	Arno George Hoger was born in Chemnitz, Saxony, Germany on the 28th of November 1901 to Karl Oskar Edmund and Anna Teresia (Hoesel) Hoger. In March of 1902, when he was 10 weeks old, Arno came to America when his parents and their other children - Edwin, Martha and Carl. Arno has very sick during the trip and his parents feared he might not make it. The family took up a homestead about seven (7) miles north of Judson, North Dakota. They lived in a sod house for several years. Arno was one of eleven (11) children. He had five brothers and five sisters. He bought some land not far from the home farm in 1924 and on the 29th of June 1925, was married to Margie Louise Wolf of Sweet Briar, North Dakota. Margie Louise Wolf was born the 18th of October 1904 three miles northwest of Sweet Briar, Morton, North Dakota to Ernest Heinrich and Marie Linda (Metzer) Wolf. Arno and Margie have four children: William Edward Henry was born the 24th of September 1925, Ella Marion was born the 13th of March 1926, Lawrence Arno was born the 15th of July 1928, Kenneth George was born the 19th of September 1936. After they were married they lived in a two room house for 18 years. Arno and Margie lived on the farm for twenty-seven (27) years and moved to New Salem, North Dakota in 1952. Services for Arno George Hoger were held at 2:00PM Saturday, the 30th of November of 1985 at the Zion Lutheran Church of New Salem, North Dakota with the Reverend Irvin H. Bruenjes officiating. Arno was laid to rest in the Graceland Cemetery, New Salem. Arno pasted away the 27th of November 1985 at Medcenter One in Bismarck, North Dakota. At the time of Arno's death, they had 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchilren.
