Description	:	Lawrence E. Cronin, 89, of Minden died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Bethany Home in Minden. He was born Feb. 8, 1921, in Minden to Daniel and Della (Lewis) Cronin. Survivors include his brothers, David Cronin and his wife, Ardyce, of Sacramento, Calif., Richard Cronin and his wife, Jane, of Maryville, Mo., and John Cronin and his wife, Polly, of Greeley, Colo.; sisters, Della Rounds of Walnut Creek, Calif., Loretta Emal of Minden, Edna Stichweh of Hastings and Vivian Holbein of Cozad; nieces, nephews and a host of friends and relatives. He was born Feb. 8, 1921, in Minden to Daniel and Della (Lewis) Cronin. Survivors include his brothers, David Cronin and his wife, Ardyce, of Sacramento, Calif., Richard Cronin and his wife, Jane, of Maryville, Mo., and John Cronin and his wife, Polly, of Greeley, Colo.; sisters, Della Rounds of Walnut Creek, Calif., Loretta Emal of Minden, Edna Stichweh of Hastings and Vivian Holbein of Cozad; nieces, nephews and a host of friends and relatives. He grew up in the Minden area and graduated from Minden High School. He attended Milford Trade School. He worked in Denver for a short time and then worked at the Hastings Navy Ammunition Depot. After the war, he lived and worked in Minden. He worked for Glantz Manufacturing and then Royal Plastics. He was a lifelong member of St. John's Catholic Church in Minden and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid reader. He cared for his mother for many years. Lawrence was dedicated to the church and also enjoyed being with his family. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Daniel, William, Ralph and James; and sisters, Irene, Mary and Nora.
