Description	:	PASSED AWAY AT HOME IN ASBURY Mr. Lawrence Lawson, highly respected waterman of the Asbury section, died at his home there on Friday of last week, after a long illness. He was 74 years of age. He was the son of the late Sidney and Mary Sterling Lawson of this city, and the husband of Mrs. Bessie Lawson, who survives him. Mr. Lawson had been an active, energetic man who had followed the water pretty well all his life, and had been successful in the seafood business. Read More	PASSED AWAY AT HOME IN ASBURY Mr. Lawrence Lawson, highly respected waterman of the Asbury section, died at his home there on Friday of last week, after a long illness. He was 74 years of age. He was the son of the late Sidney and Mary Sterling Lawson of this city, and the husband of Mrs. Bessie Lawson, who survives him. Mr. Lawson had been an active, energetic man who had followed the water pretty well all his life, and had been successful in the seafood business. He was highly regarded in the community for his many fine qualities, and his friendship was highly valued. For years he had been a faithful member of Asbury Methodist Church, and had been helpful in church work, and as a neighbor and friend. Funeral services were held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Hinman Funeral Home here, conducted by the Rev. Walter Beckwith, pastor of Asbury Church. Burial was in Asbury Cemetery. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Bessie Lawson; one son, Floyd Lawson of Crisfield; two sisters, Mrs. Asa Crockett and Mrs. Beatrice McCready, both of Crisfield; one brother, Ralph Lawson of Baltimore; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
