Mr. Minnick, son of Eliza Margaret (Thomas) and William Henry Minnick, was born July 13, 1922, northeast of Afton. He was educated in Afton area schools and worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps in the early 1940s. On April 2, 1943, he married Clarice Emily Stephens at the Stephen's home near Afton.
