Jepson, 81, a one-time Grand Island resident and businessman and former Elba and Ravenna resident, died last Tuesday morning at Ames, Ia. He had been in failing health of the past several years. Word of his death was received late Tuesday by a nephew, Clyde Urwiller, Grand Island. Graveside services were conducted in the Cairo Cemetery last Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock. In early manhood Mr. Jepson was in the banking business at Elba. He later moved to Ravenna, and owned and operated a store at St. Michael for several years, and then moved to Grand Island. Mr. and Mrs. Jepson spent several years in Florida before moving to Ames, Ia., where a daughter now resides. Survivors in addition to Mrs. Jepson, the former Minnie Hanover of the Cairo and St. Michael community, are a son, Fred Jepson, Cayee, S. C. two daughters, Mrs. Bob Starr, Ames Ia., and Mrs. Earl Davis, Cayce, S. C.; seven grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.
