Both have been suffering with the Flu as well as Theo. Schutte at whose home Lawrence and wife have been residing while waiting to move into their new home. Over a year ago a brother of deceased, Stephen Schutte and his wife, died in the heavy toll of deaths made upon this community by the severe Flu wave that swept thru here then. It is indeed one of the tragedies of life that this young husband should be taken from the wife and home in the very beginning of the planning and working out of their hopes for a long and useful service in the labor that builds towards better things. Their high hopes and aspirations swept aside at once by the cruel hand of death that all must come under. Lawrence was a fine boy in every way and his going out of the world at his early age is inexpressibly sad to friends and relatives alike, who deeply sympathize with the sick wife whose sorrow must be deep and heavy. Deceased was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Schutte of St. Stephens, where burial was made.
