Poulson had passed away, Thursday evening of last week, after two years of suffering from Spinal Meningitis, contracted during his service in France. Poulson had passed away, Thursday evening of last week, after two years of suffering from Spinal Meningitis, contracted during his service in France. He had made a brave fight for life, but a relapse from the disease took him away. He was born in Dayton, July 29, 1889, being 31 years, 3 months, 19 days. He passed his boyhood among us, graduated from our public schools, spent two years in the State University of Iowa, and completed his law course in the spring of 1918 at the University of Minnesota. On July 26, 1918, he entered the service of his country, being assigned to Co. H. 54th Pioneer Infantry, was in training camp but two weeks, when he was transferred overseas, saw much active service, and contracted the dread disease from which he never fully recovered. He spent much time in hospital overseas, and the government gave him many months of treatment since his return. He became able to re-enter the practice of law at Minneapolis, but his system was too weak to enable him to withstand his work, and he was forced to yield to his Great Commander's call. His remains were brought back home, and his funeral held Monday afternoon from the Lutheran Church, Rev. Ekeberg conducting the services. Under military escort, he was laid to rest in Dayton cemetery. He leaves his aged parents and one brother Harry to mourn his death. He was a universal favorite among his associates and all sympathize with the family in their bereavement.
