Born May 21, 1924, in Roebuck, he was the son of the late Lawrence Wynn Bishop, Sr. and Edna Lou "Lula" (James) Bishop. A graduate of Roebuck High School, he was a retired sales representative for Earnhardt Electric Company and a member of the former Airport Baptist Church. Born May 21, 1924, in Roebuck, he was the son of the late Lawrence Wynn Bishop, Sr. and Edna Lou "Lula" (James) Bishop. A graduate of Roebuck High School, he was a retired sales representative for Earnhardt Electric Company and a member of the former Airport Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Thelma (Morrison) Bishop of the home; two sons, Michael W. (Nancy) Bishop of Boiling Springs, and Dennis (Betty Sue) Bishop of Inman; two daughters, Rene (Johnny) O'Shields of Pauline, and Donna Laster of Roebuck; three sisters, Sarah B. Johnson of Lyman, Wilma Cannon and Ann Johnson, both of Roebuck; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by three brothers and six sisters. Visitation was 3:00-3:45 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2006, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services followed at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Jack Sisk and the Rev. Tyler Kirby. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials could be made to Mountain View Baptist Church Link Building Fund, 1010 Parris Bridge Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316; or to the charity of ones choice.
