Description	:	HUSTON, LEALDES LEE--Another of Geneva's well known pioneers, Lee Huston, passed away at his home in Geneva near midnight Saturday, July 16, 1938, aged 81 years, 8 months, and 28 days. Mr. Huston had been ill several weeks. He underwent a major operation at a Lincoln hospital in June, and mad a good recovery. He was dismissed from the hospital July 4, and returned home. Read More	HUSTON, LEALDES LEE--Another of Geneva's well known pioneers, Lee Huston, passed away at his home in Geneva near midnight Saturday, July 16, 1938, aged 81 years, 8 months, and 28 days. Mr. Huston had been ill several weeks. He underwent a major operation at a Lincoln hospital in June, and mad a good recovery. He was dismissed from the hospital July 4, and returned home. Later pneumonia set in, causing his death. Mr. Huston was born at New Philadelphia, O., October 14, 1856. He came to Nebraska in July, 1881, and settled on a farm two miles south of Geneva. He was married may 26, 1901, to Miss Lou Thompson. They resided on the farm until February, 1907, when they moved to Geneva. Mr. Huston took an active interest in civic affairs. He served nine years on the Geneva board of education, being on the board when the present high school building was built. He also served on the city council. Mr. Huston had been a member of the Geneva Masonic lodge since 1900, and always took a great interest in the order. He served in numerous offices and for years was a member of the board of trustees. He was active in superintending the rebuilding of the fine lodge room after the fire destroyed the Masonic temple in 1909, also in repairing the damage wrought by fire in 1933. He spent many hours at the bedside of ailing friends and in time of death in Masonic families could always be depended on for sympathetic assistance. He was also a member of the Geneva Easter Star chapter. Mr. Huston is survived by his wife and three nephews, Claude Huston of Schenectady, N. Y., Walter Huston of Central City, and Tom Ewalt of Geneva, and five nieces, Mrs. Alice Healy and Mrs. Claribel Dayton of Aurora, Ill., Mrs. Lela McConkey of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Susie tucker and Miss Jennie Muhlenburg of Geneva. The funeral service was held at the home in Geneva Tuesday afternoon, July 19, Rev John P Hohnstein of the Congregational church officiating. The Masonic lodge was in charge of the arrangements. A quartet composed of Guy Brown, Ben Koehler, Merritt Donisthorpe, and F. M. Holtz sang. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Masonic service was given at the grave, the worshipful master, James B. Barbur, giving the funeral oration. Among those from out of town present for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur N. Healy and Mrs. C. O. Dayton of Aurora, Ill.; Claude Huston of Schenectady, N. Y.; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Huston and family of Central City; Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson and family of Newport, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Thompson and Kenneth of Broken Bow; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Thompson, and Mr. and Mrs. Austin Sleicher of Eddyville,; Mr. and Mrs. L Boyd, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schofield, and Mrs. Joe West of Lincoln, and Mr. and Mrs. T.
