The Bobbitt family was saddened just two weeks before the death of Mrs. Bobbitt, by the passing of Mrs. Will Broadhurst, a daughter, the former Leffa Bobbitt. Mrs. Broadhurst, whose home was in Parkville, Mo. died September 26 in St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, after a short illness due to a ruptured intestine. She had not been in good health for some time. Leffa Bobbitt was born December 11, 1881 in York, Neb. She came to Brown county with her parents in 1894, then to the Oneida community seven years later. She was married in 1906 to William Broadhurst and they went to Parkville to make their home. Their entire married life was spent there, with the exception of a few years in Kansas City. Mrs. Broadhurst is survived by her husband and one child, a daughter, Carolyn, now Mrs. O. J. Rigoni of Woodland Hills, Calif., a suburb of Los Angeles, also the brothers and sisters named above-( Charles E., Sidney, Ia.; Roscoe J. Garden City, Kan.; Pearl G. Foster, Dresdon, Kan.; Lucille G. Hayden, Topeka; Ira B. and Arthur M., Seneca.) The funeral was held at Parkville, Mo., September 29, and the body was brought to Sabetha the same day for burial.
