Description	:	parents: Ernest and Esther (Baucke) Heidemann. Leland was baptized Nov. 21, 1926 and confirmed Mar. 7, 1940 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Elk Creek, Ne. He attended St. Peter's Parochial School and graduated eight grade from the rural Beethe School. He was married to Lola Caspers on Sept. 7, 1949 at St. John's(Stone) Church rural Auburn, Nemaha, NE. they made their home on the farm southwest of Elk Creek, Ne. where they raised their family. Leland was a longtime farmer and dairyman. and also did custom trucking in his earlier years. Also a life-long member of St. Peter's Lutheran church of Elk Creek. He and Lola moved to Tecumseh in 1992. he continued to drive to the farm for many years as he continued in the farming operation. Leland enjoyed playing card, traveling with Lola and most of all, enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He especially delighted in his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lola Heidemann of Tecumseh, children, Lanie Heidemann of Elk Cree, Les Heidemann and fiancee Dorothy Scott of Tecumseh, Lois Bohling and husband Mark of Elk Creek and Lavon Heidemann and wife Robin of Elk Creek. grandchildren, Eric Heidemann, Cherry Heidemann, Alicia and Zack Bowman, Casey Bohling, Tyler Bohling, Jared and Kassie Austin, Mikayla and Travis Haggard, Megan Haggard, Alivia Austin, Myles Haggard, Ty Bowman, Roo Haggard and Corey Bowman; sisters, Leona Beethe of Elk Creek and Aloma Beaderscher and husband Eldon of Tecumseh. brother, Harlan Heidmann and wife June of Elk Creek, sisters and brothers in low, Irene Beethe of Tecumseh, Marvin Caspers and wife Blanche of Auburn, Gene Caspers and wife Elsie of Beatrice and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Leland was preceded in death by his parents, nephews, Robert and Ricky Heidemann, niece LuAnn Caspers, brothers and sisters in law. Rayman Beethe, Elmer Beethe, Albert and Opal Jurgensmeier, Bill and Darlene Haferman. LaVerne, Ellenora and Leona Caspers and Gary and Marceille Habegger. Funeral services held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, rural Elk Creek, NE. on Jan. 31, 2013. with Rev. Robert Schermbeck officiating. Pallbearers were Eric Heidemann, Jared Austin, Casey Bohling, Bryan Heidemann, Travis Haggard and Zack Bowman. Honorary pallbearers were ED and Ev Plager, LaVerne and Arlene Thomas, Ilma Gottula, Dan Blessing and Marlen Beethe. Interement was in the St. Peter's Luthern Cemetery, rural Elk Creek, NE.
