He will be remembered by his sisters, Gladys and Nellie (Richard) Rasmussen of Westlock and his brother, Elmer (Bud) Jayes of Red Deer Leland was predeceased by his wife, Grace, his son, Vernon, great granddaughter, Alexandra, and his sister, Keitha. He was born in Montour, Iowa, moving to Alberta in 1913 and finally settling in the Condor area where he farmed for over 50 years. Leland was a faithful servant of his Lord, a man of deep compassion for others and a loving and devoted father and grandfather to his family. Funeral services for the late Leland Tweed will be held from the Withrow Gospel Mission, Withrow, Alberta on Monday, May 12 at 1:30 P.M. with Pastor Norman Reimer officiating. Interment will follow in the Leslieville Cemetery, Leslieville, Alberta. As an expression of sympathy memorial tributes may be made in Leland's memory to James River Bible Camp to enable a child to attend camp Sylvan Lake and Rocky. “Your Golden Rule Funeral Homes” entrusted with the arrangements.
