Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Lavon; children Alan (Deb) Francis, Brian (Joann) Francis, Roger Francis, William Francis and Connie (Scot) McDonough; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kay (Merrill) Heinze and a brother Harold (JoAnn) Francis.
