Description	:	Funeral services were held here Sunday afternoon at the Pitman Funeral Home for Leon C. Higgins of Sedro Wooley, Washington, who died there January 5. The sermon was by the Rev. Everett H. Stants and the singing by Mrs. Lynn D. Hull, accompanied by Mrs. J. L. Wheeler. Higgins, was born on a farm in Montgomery County, Iowa, south of Villisca on May 16, 1879, and was 73 years old at his death. He moved to Villisca with his parents when he was a small child and attended the Villisca Schools. Later he learned the cigar making trade and he spent a number of years in Beach, North Dakota. He then went to Seattle, Washington, worked in the shipyards during World War II. He was in poor health during the last year of his life. He is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clay Pulber, and a niece, Mrs. John Ewing, all of Chicago. They were here to attend the funeral.
