Description	:	Mrs. Lum Higgins, who had been a resident of this vicinity for more than half a century, died Monday morning at 9 o’clock at her home of West Fourth Street after illness of more than a year. Mrs. Higgins, whose maiden name Miss Libbie Higgins, was born in Highland County, Ohio on July 6 1852, and moved with her parents to Illinois in 1868. In 1873 they came to Villisca. Read More	Mrs. Lum Higgins, who had been a resident of this vicinity for more than half a century, died Monday morning at 9 o’clock at her home of West Fourth Street after illness of more than a year. Mrs. Higgins, whose maiden name Miss Libbie Higgins, was born in Highland County, Ohio on July 6 1852, and moved with her parents to Illinois in 1868. In 1873 they came to Villisca. On June 30, 1878, she was united in marriage with Lum Higgins in Corning and to this union were born two children, both of whom with the husband survive. The children are Leon C. Higgins of Villisca and Mrs. C. H. Pulver of Omaha. One brother, Henry Higgins of Villisca, also survives. Mrs. Higgins was a member of the Methodist Church. The funeral was held in the church, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, with Rev. J. L. Boyd in charge of the service. Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery.
