Description	:	The community of New Albany, Annapolis County, and surrounding area was saddened to hear of the sudden passing on Sunday, October 13th, of Leon Robert Veinot at his home here. Mr. Veinot was born in Bridgewater 84 years ago, son of the late David and Agnes Veinot. At an early age his family moved to New Albany to reside. In 1913 he married the former Annie Mabel Madicraft who predeceased him in 1957. Of Christian character, he was a member of the United Church in Lawrencetown and was a lumberman all his life from which occupation he retired in 1957.... Mr. Veinot was born in Bridgewater 84 years ago, son of the late David and Agnes Veinot. At an early age his family moved to New Albany to reside. In 1913 he married the former Annie Mabel Madicraft who predeceased him in 1957. Of Christian character, he was a member of the United Church in Lawrencetown and was a lumberman all his life from which occupation he retired in 1957. He was also a councillor for the Municipality of Annapolis for 12 years. He is survived by two daughters and three sons: Vivian and Lillian (Mrs. Milton Spinney), Kingston; Clyde, Middleton; Garfield, Kentville; Garnet, New Albany; also one sister, Vida (Mrs. Arch Medicraft); and one brother, Clyde, both of New Albany. One son, Robert, and a brother, Ralph, who lived in Lawrence, Mass., predeceased him. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services took place on Tuesday, October 15, at 2 p.m. from the New Albany Church with Rev. Fred Archibald officiating, with interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Albany.
