Description	:	Funeral services for Leona A. Siebecker, 80, of Albion, were held Monday, July 15, 1996, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Albion. Rev. LeRoy Dobble officiated with interment in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion. Mrs. Siebecker died Thursday, July 11 at the Boone County Health Center in Albion. Special music for the service was provided by Mary Channer-Paul and Carolyn Russell. Doyle Rieck was organist and Ben Brachle was violist. Mrs. Siebecker died Thursday, July 11 at the Boone County Health Center in Albion. Special music for the service was provided by Mary Channer-Paul and Carolyn Russell. Leona Anna Siebecker, the daughter of Frederick Henry and Thersia (Mueller) Cook, was born January 24, 1916, on a farm north of Albion. She was baptized at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Albion. She received her elementary education at District #7 north of Albion. On October 21, 1937, Leona was united in marriage to Rayburn Marcus Cornwell by Judge Lewis B. Nore in Albion. They lived at and operated the Fair Price Service Station at the corner of Hwy. 14 and Fairview Street in Albion until May 13, 1942, when Ray was killed in a tractor accident at the Stillenger Farms. Leona was a waitress at Drew Murphey's Cafe, a custodian at the Methodist and Congregational Church and also the Albion Public School for 18 years while raising their two daughters. On December 10, 1949, she married Millard Max Siebecker at the Methodist Parsonage. They lived in Albion for the rest of their lives. Millard died on December 4, 1995. Leona entered the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center on May 22, 1996. Leona was a charter member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Chapter 16, a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #162, a member of the Rebekah Assembly Lodge of Nebraska, a member of the Eagles Auxiliary Aries 1834 of Columbus and a charter member of the Country Music Association of America. She was Past Commander of DAV Chapter 16 and also secretary of the DAV. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Albion. Survivors include her daughters, Donna Rae Cook of Cedar Rapids and LaVonne Mae "Bonnie" Brachle of West point; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; on sister, Marie Brickel of Fullerton; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Cook of Columbus; and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Ray and Millard; one brother, John Cook; and two nephews. Albion News, Albion, Nebraska
