The bride was charming in a gown of the traditional white satin. With it she wore an ankle length cap veil and carried a bouquet of snapdragons. The sister of the groom, Miss Theresa Marquart, as bridesmaid, wore a frock of pink taffeta. The maids of honor, Miss Lilly Peters and Miss Lydia Marquart, wore ankle-length gowns of green organdy. The groom wore the conventional navy blue and had as his only attendant, Mr. Louis Peters. Following the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served at the Peter’s home to the immediate families .The color scheme of pink and white was beautifully carried out in the decorations. The young couple are both well and favorably known here. Marquart, 94, of Deshler, formerly of Byron and Lincoln, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2007, at Parkview Haven Nursing Home, Deshler. She was born November 9, 1912 at rural Hardy. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, rural Byron. Survivors: three daughters, Virlene Grafelman of Lincoln, Elaine Spreier of Lincoln, Joanne Rutland of Warren, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Fintel of Deshler. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, St. Peters Lutheran Church, rural Byron. Interment will be made in St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery, rural Byron. Visitation: friends may call 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas. Memorials may be given to St. Peters Lutheran Church, rural Byron, Nebraska
