LEONA ALLEN Mrs. Leona Allen, who has been ill the past fifteen weeks, suffered with gall trouble, passed away Sunday, December 15. Leona M. Robinson, was born September 12, 1880 at Formoso, Jewell county, Kansas, where she spent her early life. She was married to M. L. Allen at Mankato where they lived until 1899 when they came to Nemaha county. She has lived in Goff, Kelly, Woodlawn and Sabetha since that time. Mr. Allen died November 27, 1939. Mrs. Allen had lived in the Woodlawn community until four months ago she took an apartment at the C. M. Snyder home so that her daughter, Okla could live at home and attend high school. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Methodist church when she lived in Sabetha. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Esther Basart of clay Center, Mrs. Olive Britton of Wetmore, Mrs. Agnes Marsh of Springfield, Mo. and Okla of the home; a son, Harvey Allen of Sabetha; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Shaw of Formoso and Mrs. Sarah Deringer of Des Moines, Iowa; on brother, Julius Robinson, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held this Wednesday afternoon, December 18 at the Pilgrim Holiness church conducted by the pastor, Rev. Jack Campbell. Interment was in the Sabetha cemetery.
